Perfect answer dude, but you are shy because you pay attention 2 these bully guys!! Don’t pay much attention to these guys.

I don’t really consider myself a selfish person, so I don’t think selfishness is relevant to this situation. I blame my shyness on my family (even though I love them from the bottom of my heart) and children who were to me during my childhood. Dont get me wrong; I’m not EXTREMELY shy, but I’m shy enough to where its becoming a problem for me to lure females into my bedroom. =(

TikkiTikki you are right and to over come this, you shouldn’t talk so much keep a calm expression on your face and always always keep your back straight. Because people with little confidence keep their backs hunched over. Hope this helps.

Are you still a kid? Let me tell you, as an adult, there is an element of selfishness to shyness. It’s always how people make YOU feel isn’t it? Try thinking the other way around. Engage and make people feel comfortable. =D

I am not selfish! I’m just shy! You know what makes me shy? The not-so-shy kids who are busting up my everytime I talk! Those are the selfish kids.

Great, now I’m selfish. Just when I thought my self-esteem couldn’t get any lower…

    That happens.

I can talk with kids or adults but in a class room when I’m answering a question I start to shake and my voice gets weak. Oh and this doesn’t have to do with shyness but all my friends talk about are sports and I only like baseball so I never have anything to talk about with my friends. AND when I do talk no one either hears me or cares what I have to say. Only my good friends listen to me.

I am normal with family and with maybe my 2 close friends, but they have loads of friends which I have to hang round with – when I am around them I go mute! I go red if someone tries to talk to me and I can’t think of something to say. I try to avoid going out after school because now I feel left out and embarrased. I am very self consious of my teeth and am wondering if that is something to do with it? Even in a group I may have something to say and then I don’t say it, just in case I embarass myself.
